Ravi Saligram

Ravi Saligram - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and director of the board

Ravi Saligram, CEO and director of the board of Ritchie Bros., is a visionary leader with a proven track record of growing businesses, building brands, developing customer-centric teams, embracing digital, focusing on cash flow, and driving shareholder value. Throughout his career, he has inspired employees to challenge the status quo, created cultures driven toward innovation and built industry-leading diversity and inclusion programs.

Saligram was appointed CEO of Ritchie Bros. in July 2014 and since then has been transforming the company by evolving the world's largest onsite heavy equipment auctioneer into a relationship-based, technology-enabled and data-driven multi-channel asset management and disposition platform. In 2017, Saligram led the acquisition of online leader, IronPlanet, making Ritchie Bros. one of the top 50 B2B ecommerce players in the world with over $3 billion in online gross transaction value.

He and his team have doubled cumulative cash flow in the last four years and grown the market capitalization of the company to US $4.1 billion (CAD $5.3 billion), an increase of $1.5 billion over the last four years.

Prior to joining Ritchie Bros., Saligram was CEO of OfficeMax Inc., where he strategically repositioned the company from a commodity office products retailer to an omni-channel workplace services and solutions company. During his tenure, he led the historic merger of equals between Fortune 500 companies OfficeMax and Office Depot in 2013, unlocking over half a billion dollars in synergies.

Saligram also has more than 20 years of senior management experience at ARAMARK, InterContinental Hotels Group and SC Johnson. During his time as President, ARAMARK International and Chief Globalization Officer, he turned the international business into a growth engine, doubling international revenue and quadrupling managed cash flow, in part, by driving sector diversification, onboarding a new generation of country presidents and significantly increasing female leadership. And while working with Intercontinental Hotels, Saligram built Holiday Inn into the number one international hotel brand in China and pioneered some of the company's first ecommerce initiatives.

Saligram has lived in six countries and worked in many more across five continents over his 38-year career. He started his career at Leo Burnett in Chicago, earned an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an electrical engineering degree from Bangalore University, India. He has served on the board of Church & Dwight Co., Inc. for over ten years and sits on its Governance and Finance Committees.

Under his leadership, Ritchie Bros. was recognized as one of British Columbia's Top Employers in 2018; OfficeMax was recognized by Ethisphere as one of the world's most ethical companies, two years in a row; and S.C. Johnson Korea was named one of the three best foreign managed companies in Korea by KBS TV.

Sharon Driscoll

Sharon Driscoll – Chief Financial Officer

Sharon Driscoll joined Ritchie Bros. in July 2015 as Chief Financial Officer, following 17 years of senior executive experience at companies such as Rexall Pharmacies Canada (Katz Group Canada), Sears Canada Inc. and Loblaw Companies Limited.  Most recently, Sharon was Executive Vice President and CFO at Katz Group Canada Ltd., where she was responsible for all financial operations, including capital allocation, financing strategies, treasury operations, regulatory compliance, risk management and financial talent development.  Prior to Katz Group, Ms. Driscoll was Senior Vice President and CFO of Sears Canada Inc., one of Canada's largest retailers.

Ms. Driscoll is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen's University.

Todd Wohler

Todd Wohler - Chief Human Resources Officer

Mr. Wohler joined Ritchie Bros. in January 2015, and brings over 20 years of experience across multiple geographies and industries. After earning a degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, Todd began his career at Schlumberger, a global oil and gas technology company, where he worked in many different branches of the company in the US, Paris, and London during his 20 year tenure. Todd has also served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Quintiles Transnational, as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at ARAMARK for ARAMARK's international business, and as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at United Water. Over the course of his career Todd has been instrumental in building global teams and organizations that have excellent track records of success. He has developed and implemented transformational HR strategies and recruited hundreds of executives and leaders for organizations across the globe in multiple industries.

Marianne Marck

Marianne Marck – Chief Information Technology Officer

Marianne Marck joined Ritchie Bros. as Chief Information Officer in April of 2016. Prior to joining Ritchie Bros, Ms. Marck was Senior Vice President, Retail and Digital Technology at Starbucks Coffee Company. Ms. Marck has over 15 years of executive experience relating to technology and digital platforms working with companies such as Blue Nile Inc., the Walt Disney Internet Group, and CNET Networks.

Education/Professional Designations: BA, Mathematics from Mills College in Oakland, CA.

Karl Werner

Karl Werner – President, International

Karl Werner joined Ritchie Bros. in 1996 as Territory Manager for the Olympic Peninsula and Alaska. In 1999 he was appointed to Regional Manager for the Northwest US and in 2004 transferred to the company's corporate head office as Senior Manager, Strategic Projects. In 2005 he was appointed to Divisional Manager, Auction Operations. In 2008 he was appointed to VP of Auction Operations and most recently held the position of Chief Auction Operations Officer.

Mr. Werner came to Ritchie Bros. after 10 years of operating a heavy-haul transport company. He has a strong background in real estate development and operations management. Karl sits on advisory boards for various strategic partners.

Jeff Jeter

Jeff Jeter – President, Sales U.S.

Jeff leads Ritchie Bros US sales organization with a team of regionally based territory managers as well strategic account managers focused on targeted industry verticals. While at IronPlanet, Jeff led US and international sales and new business planning activities including identifying strategic initiatives and driving new market launch initiatives. Prior to joining IronPlanet, he served as Senior Principal at PRTM Management Consultants where he helped lead PRTM's customer experience consulting for Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to joining PRTM, Jeff was Senior Vice President of Marketing for Manugistics Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANU) where he executed global marketing strategies and managed the company's new business development and sales operations initiatives. Jeff has 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and international business, including two international assignments for Iomega, a wholly owned subsidiary of EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) and leader in innovative storage and network security solutions for small businesses, home offices and consumers.

Jeff holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University and an M.B.A. from Mercer University.

Brian Glenn

Brian Glenn – SVP, Head of Sales Canada

Brian Glenn is the SVP and Head of Sales, Canada with Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and is responsible for the Ritchie Bros. industrial sales team across Canada. He has more than 30 years of experience in the equipment industry—previously working with Union Tractor and Valley Blades before coming to Ritchie Bros. in 1997. Brian started with Ritchie Bros. 15+ years ago as a Territory Manager and has risen up the ranks through every sales management position available, now serving as the head of the sales for Canada.

In Brian's 15+ years with Ritchie Bros. he has worked as a Territory Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Vice President, Senior Vice President and now SVP & Head of Sales Canada.

Doug Feick

Doug Feick - SVP, New Business and Corporate Development

Doug leads mergers, acquisitions and strategic development for Ritchie Bros. and also is driving the integration of the IronPlanet merger. Prior to the merger with Ritchie Bros, Doug served as SVP, Corporate Development and Chief Legal Officer for IronPlanet. Prior to joining IronPlanet, Doug served as Executive Vice President, Business Affairs and General Counsel at ChoiceStream, Inc. where he managed all legal matters and was responsible for business and corporate development activities, including strategic partner negotiations and deal structuring. Prior to ChoiceStream, Doug was Vice President, Corporate Development and Associate General Counsel, International at Yahoo!, Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) where he first started and ran Yahoo!'s international legal group and then co-ran Yahoo!'s domestic and international corporate development activities. Doug has over 25 years of legal and business experience.

Doug graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University and a J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law. Doug is a member of the State Bar of California.

Kieran Holm

Kieran Holm – SVP, Operations Excellence & Efficiencies

Kieran Holm has over a decade of experience with Ritchie Bros., beginning his career at the company in 2004 in the marketing department before taking on progressively more senior positions. The roles included general management as Area Manager in Texas; Regional Manager in Chicago; sales management as Vice President, Sales - North Central U.S. and strategic management as Managing Director Asia Pacific. In 2017 he relocated back from Tokyo to take on to his current role overseeing the operations side of Ritchie Bros. Kieran has developed and executed strong growth strategies, managed high-performing teams and spearheaded Ritchie Bros.' expansion into new markets and segments including auctioning real-estate assets and classic cars.

Mr. Holm holds an MBA, specializing in finance, from McGill University, earned at the University's Tokyo, Japan, campus; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria (Canada). He speaks English, Japanese and French.

Darren Watt

Darren Watt - Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Darren Watt joined the Company in 2004 as in-house legal counsel. In 2012, Mr. Watt was promoted to Vice President Legal Affairs, and in 2013 was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. On August 29, 2016, Mr. Watt was promoted to Senior Vice President & General Counsel. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Watt practiced with McCarthy Tétrault LLP (1998 − 2004) as an Associate lawyer in the area of Corporate Finance & Securities. Mr. Watt is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and holds a Law Degree from the University of British Columbia, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree (International Relations) from the University of Toronto.

Matt Ackley

Matt Ackley – SVP, Digital Marketing and Product Management

An engineer by trade, Matt Ackley has led product development and marketing organizations for a number of major brands, such as eBay and Google—known disrupters of traditional industries. In his seven-plus years at eBay, Ackley focused on revenue and demand generation, including strategic partnerships, seller tools, developer platforms, and internet marketing and advertising, where he was the Vice President of that group for five years.

Ackley's tenure at eBay and his expertise in understanding online marketplaces was focused on driving value for both sellers and buyers. After eBay, Ackley was Managing Director, Media and Platform Market Development, at Google. At Google he focused on product marketing and strategic development activities for Google's search and online advertising products such as DoubleClick Search, Google Analytics and YouTube.

Now at Ritchie Bros., Ackley is responsible for core digital activities across the company's brands.

Ackley has an M.B.A. from Harvard and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Becky Alseth

Becky Alseth - SVP, Brands & Innovation

Becky Alseth joined Ritchie Bros. in January 2016. Before Ritchie Bros., Ms. Alseth led the U.S. marketing team at Avis Budget Group. In that role, she oversaw all marketing efforts including brand strategy and insights, advertising and media, partnerships, CRM and ecommerce. Ms. Alseth started her career working in progressive brand management roles at Fortune 500 companies including The Clorox Company, Nestle and Diageo. Ms. Alseth also had the opportunity to grow start-up businesses, move.com, Therasense and HZO, plus lead marketing and development for a non-profit, FIRST, which works to interest kids in careers in math and science. A native of Montana, Ms. Alseth earned her Bachelor of Science in Society & Technology from Montana Tech and an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business in Seattle.
